Located in Daingerfield, Texas, just a short drive from Dallas or Shreveport. Here you can leave the stress of the city behind. There is no better cure for city life than sitting on your porch at Greer Farm sipping a cool drink as the sun sets behind the lake. Your worries stop the moment you enter the front gate.

Your cabin is nestled among stands of towering pine, oak and pecan trees. The slightest breeze and their whispers will fill your ears. Bring your binoculars and observe the birds, butterflies and other wildlife that make Greer Farm their home. The property is yours to explore.

Directly in front of your cabin is a private 11 acre lake. Rental paddle boats, kayaks, jon boats and canoes are available for your use or drop a line off the dock to pull in one of the giant catfish swimming by. Avid anglers work the shoreline for the best chance at a trophy bass (our current record - 10 lbs!)

Each cabin has a kitchenette, complete with all the basic necessities. Your refrigerator will be stocked with a few farm fresh eggs from our roaming hens (subject to availability) and a loaf of Chef Eva's hard crust scrumptious bread with jam.

Near the farmhouse is our Bunkhouse. this building was probably built for storage in the mid to late 1800's. We have restored it and it has a RV type full kitchenette and sleeps two in a full bed. It has satellite television/DVD player. You can have your morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening in the gardens surrounding the farm house, and you have access to the lake and all the other farm activities. If there is only one cabin to rent, and you need two, it's an good lower cost option for a couple that only need a place to sleep.

Come for one of Chef Eva's cooking classes and return home with recipes and techniques to dazzle your friends. Ask for a tour of our restored 1850 home and take a stroll through our manicured antique rose and native plant and flower garden.

The Greer Farm is a working family farm and ranch. Maine-Anjou cattle roam in nearby pastures and our blueberry and blackberry farm produces thousands of pounds of fruit each year. Come in June or July and walk over to the berry patch and fill a bucket or two.

Activities abound in the local area. Many visitors enjoy an afternoon at Los Pinos Ranch Vineyard in nearby Pittsburg. Daingerfield State Park is another popular day trip. Spend the morning browsing antique shops in Jefferson and take an afternoon cruise through the bald cypress of Caddo Lake, the only natural lake in Texas.
