It's Feeding Time Again

Normally we do not start to feed hay until after frost, and toward the last of November or early December. This year we have had a sustained drought and many of the pastures are grazed down to where there is nothing for the cattle to eat. We put out our first hay at the home place yesterday. These are a few new mom's and a set of cattle from Canada that just arrived. They wasted no time in getting into the hay.
